What Goes Into New Construction Paving?

Every project begins with a consultation and detailed site evaluation. Our local commercial asphalt paving company will assess your property and provide a complete bid for the full scope of work. From there, we can move into site preparation, which includes clearing, grading, and carefully balancing and compacting the subgrade to support proper drainage and long-term stability. Once the foundation is ready, we install the aggregate base layer, creating a strong platform for the asphalt. Paving follows, using the appropriate mix design based on traffic demands. After placement, the surface must cure, typically for 24 to 72 hours, before it’s ready for any use. We manage the entire process, which can include earthmoving, underground drainage systems, concrete curbs, concrete flatwork, aggregate base installation, and asphalt paving. This full-service approach keeps your project efficient and ensures every layer works together as it should.

Why Is Installing Drain Tile Important?

Water is one of the biggest threats to new asphalt installation. Without proper drainage, water can seep into and saturate the subgrade beneath the asphalt. Over time, this weakens the foundation and leads to cracks, potholes, and premature failure. Drain tile installation helps control that risk. Excess water is collected beneath the pavement and directed to a catch basin, preventing buildup in the soil below. By keeping the subgrade stable and dry, drain tile plays a key role in extending the life of your pavement and reducing future repair costs.
